Sleeve Gastrectomy
Gastric Sleeve is an obesity operation in which 80% of the stomach is removed using a laparoscopic method. The newly formed stomach is noticeably reduced in size compared to the old stomach and causes less food intake due to its smaller volume. The main result of the operation is the changes in fasting blood sugar and satiety caused by the changes in hormones in the gastrointestinal system.
The surgery takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
